INSTRUCTIONS

EXERCISE 1- Quantify Data

For our first exercise, we were asked to create a visual infographic using quantifiable things where we can then sort them out by categories. I chose to use my father's collection of coins from around the world as they differ in shape and size which were fascinating to me. From here I sorted them out into Polygons, Flowers, Squares, Annulus, Two Tones, Bigs, and Minis. Also counting the total for each.

EXERCISE 3- L.A.T.C.H

L- Location

A- Alphabet

T- Time

C- Category

H- Hierarchy

I decided to create an Infographic for the game Genshin Impact with the Game location; Liyue, Five-star characters while categorising them by type of element.

EXERCISE 4 - Redesign Infographic

In this exercise, we were asked to redesign a bad infographic using our preferred infographic program online. I chose to do an informational infographic and came across a 10 step infographic for ArkBound, a book publishing company. The layout looked messy without proper hierarchy so I chose to redesign this in Canva.

fig 3.0 Original Infographic

Referring to the article this infographic was for, I cleaned up the information based on the original while using the appropriate illustrations to further convey the information stated. I also chose to use the blue and green colour scheme from their logo.
