FEEDBACK
Week 4: Ms. Anis said our analysis for the among us game was really thorough and interesting especially at the dissection of the different typefaces and hierarchy in the game.
Week 6: Ms Anis said that our idea was really interesting and to carry on with
refining our sketches for next week.
REFLECTION
Week 1: The briefing for this project was really intriguing. The concept of
art directing is really interesting to me and is definitely something I see
myself pursuing more of in the future. Because it is a group assignment, I
found it helpful to get groupmate with different skills sets to work on the
project with me.
Week 2: The ideation process was really productive and it was nice to see my group mates actively sharing input and ideas with the rest of the group. It made the final decision of an idea relatively easy.
Week 3: This week, we explored more on our ideas and gathered information to support and take reference from. Data collection was fun yet exhausting because of how much there is to take into account.
Week 4: This week we were asked to dissect and analyse the among us game. This allowed us to think critically about it in a way where we would not usually have while playing the game. We had to think like a user and a designer in order to find ways to improve the game.
Week 5: Our group too this week to start on our sketches so that we could get a better visual reference of our ideas on our parts. I was in charge of character design. Searching for inspiration from other artists has motivated me a lot in the process. I've always enjoyed illustrating so the process for character design did not feel like work.
Week 6: We got to present our idea proposal today in class and I think it went rather well. Ms Anis had good feedback which was a relief to move forward on the project.
Week 10: Ms. Anis said our progress was on the right track and suggested we move forward with refinement
Week 14: Ms.Anis liked our presentation of the concept but mentioned that the combination of 3D and 2D for the UI/UX did not fit well together however it has the potential to be refined if there was more time
